About the situation at the “Kazygurt” checkpoint

 

The State Revenue Committee is conducting operational monitoring of the situation at checkpoints in response to emergency situations associated with the vehicles accumulation.

As previously reported, tense situation arose on March 12, 2019. at the “Kazygurt” checkpoint due to problems with the communication channel and congestion of up to 180 vehicles was recorded on the road from Kazakhstan.

Additional measures were taken to relieve tension. Thus, in the night time from March 12 to 13, the movement of up to 170 vehicles was carried out and the situation on the congestion has stabilized.

At 12h.00m. 16.03.2019 about 70 vehicles are expecting to pass through at the checkpoint, which is a routine situation.

According to the official information of law enforcement bodies no violations of public order were detected at the time of vehicles congestion at the checkpoint.

In order to avoid downtime and for carriers to select the optimal route, SRD of Turkestan region places up-to-date information on the traffic congestion situation in front of checkpoints on its official website (trk.kgd.gov.kz).

In order to prevent congestion of vehicles, the State Revenue Committee jointly with the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development and Akimat of Turkestan region is working on the organization and arrangement of parkings near the checkpoints with the provision of services.
