A SEMINAR ON THEME «INFORMATION SECURITY AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY» WAS CONDUCTED

In the period from 10 to 12 July 2019, Education and Methodical Center of the SRC MF RK held a distance seminar by videoconference on theme "Information security and information technology".

The purpose of the event is to increase the competence of employees of the state revenue authorities in the field of improving information security.

Employees from the Central office and territorial bodies of state revenue authorities attended the seminar as listeners, as well as lecturers were:

1) Andeshova Gulmira Bakytovna – Head of Information security Department of the SRC MF RK;

2) Manakov Timur - information security specialist of LLP «LOGITEX»;
3) Kassymkulova Lazzat Turdakynovna – Head of Distance learning and Information technologies Department SRC MF RK.

Participants of the seminar got acquainted with the computer network Botnet, consisting of several workstations on which the malware was launched and also got acquainted with:

- multiple accesses to known command center servers (C&C) on the Internet from unknown programs;

- increased network activity, the frequency of requests, including at night with moderate consumption of Internet traffic;

- same DNS queries from the same workstations;

- slow workstation operation, CPU utilization;

- problem with Internet access.

The event was successful, as part of the planned program by active interaction between the lecturer and the audience.

According to the results of the seminar, certificates on successful professional development will be sent to the participants.
