       On December 11 – 12, 2023, the ninth meeting of the heads of customs administrations of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Tashkent.

       The Kazakh side was represented by the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zh. Duysembiev.

       The theme of the Organization of Turkic States was aimed at improving the activities of the customs services of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States.

       Issues of expanding the use of e-TIR for freight transport between member countries of the Organization of Turkic States, cooperation in the field of customs risk management, target (situational) centers, as well as the practice of interaction in the field of laboratory research were discussed.

      As a result of the meeting, the parties signed a Protocol of Interaction to expand the use of the e-TIR information system, strengthen cooperation in the field of customs risk management, and interaction between customs services in the field of customs examinations and laboratory research. Such innovations will create advantages for carriers and participants of foreign trade activity in the form of:

     - exemption from inspection;

     - exemption from customs escort;

     - lack of additional insurance;

     - use of a single document.

       Also on the sidelines of the event, the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zh. Duisembiev, held bilateral meetings with the Azerbaijani, Turkish and Uzbek delegations.

      The discussed issues on the mutual exchange of information found understanding among the parties, and the agreements reached on cooperation will raise customs administration to a new level.

      As a result of the bilateral meeting, an Interaction Plan for the mutual recognition of authorized economic operators of both countries was signed with the Uzbek side.
