On December 27, 2022, at the invitation of the Chinese side, in-person meeting of the Head of the Department of International Cooperation of the SRC of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ye.Kozhabergenov with representatives of Customs Service under the Embassy of the PRC to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Yu Xiantao and Mr. Xu Weiping was held  in the building of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the parties summed up the results of the work carried out for 2022 and discussed plans for the coming year.

Ye. Kozhabergenov noted that due to to joint efforts, a lot of work has been done this year in opening closed checkpoints, implementing PI and STOR projects, inquiry and reference work, etc.

Yu Xiantao also expressed readiness for close customs cooperation and assistance in solving topical issues, and also noted the importance of holding meetings.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that customs cooperation between the countries will continue to be built on a friendly basis, and the decisions taken will contribute to improving the effectiveness of comprehensive cooperation.
